Laura King RYT500, RCYT
Laura is the Director, Training and Marketing for TreeYoga & an instructor with Alpha-Omega Yoga, providing teacher training programs and workshops in Texas and Mexico.

Laura believes that yoga is a practice for everyone and enjoys helping students meet their goals, both mentally and physically. Her desire is for every individual to find comfort and ease within their body, on and off the mat. Laura’s yoga journey began in 2002 after an accident left her unable to continue her previous physical regimen. Her spinal injuries have inspired her focus on yoga anatomy, which can be felt in each of her classes.

Laura finds the human body amazing and continually furthers her studies of human anatomy & physiology and how it relates to the yoga practice. When she’s not teaching, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, Steven, and their daughter, Eleanor, who inspires her practice in new ways every day.

Chinook Wusdhu

In ’86, Chinook started practicing Tai Chi at the Dallas Academy of Tai Chi and for the last 23 years has used these principles to strengthen his mind, body and spirit. Never losing his competitiveness, he won major international championships in ’98, ’99, ’00, ’02, ’04 and the International Martial Arts Championship in Houston in 2006. His insatiable appetite and thirst for true health and wellness continues to thrive.
Reading and researching everything he could get his hands on eventually led Chinook to yoga. He found his personal yoga practice helped fill the void for intense training and led to even greater mental and spiritual rewards. Chinook continues to research, keeping Tsada members abreast of new discoveries affecting our well being.
Chinook’s unconventional approach to fitness embraces a simple motto – ‘if something works, I incorporate it and if something doesn’t work, I eliminate it’. Using health and fitness modalities from all over the world led to his ’651-Multisculpt’ training method. A work-out pioneer, he was one of the first to fuse multiple training methods into a holistic system over time evolving into his Yogua Dao system of health and healing.
What is Yogua Dao? Yogua Dao translates to ‘the way of constant evolution’. Forever flowing and growing, through the practices and principles of global health and wellness methods – Yogua Dao is the way of the seed, root and fruit. This method purposely emphasizes and utilizes circles and spiraling energies and is primarily focused on transitions between the asanas as well as the asanas themselves. Tai Chi, Bua Gua, Qi Gong, Aikido, capoeira, vinyasa yoga and meditation are the foremost, dominant guiding principles and techniques.

Not only is she the busy mother of 3 boys, but she is a strong voice in the community bringing awareness and a message of peace and compassion.  Today her focus is bringing teachers from all over the globe to North Texas so that a larger audience can meet and learn from these amazing teachers making our community even larger and brighter.
”Yoga is more than an exercise. It gets into you at the very core of your being. It helps you to connect to something bigger than yourself, and in turn it helps you release not only your physical baggage (fat/toxins) but your emotional baggage is stripped away along with your ego. It’s not something you can explain to someone with words or with demonstration. You just have to get on your yoga mat, get real, and feel it for yourself.”

I seek to combine the dynamic flow of Ashtanga, the subtle energetics of Kundalini and the sweaty good times of Vinyasa into a transformative experience – moving mediations, physical prayer, transcendence and surrender, passion and compassion. It will be loud, it will be challenging: nectar will be wrung from your body as you pursue fervent supplication. You will be emptied and confronted but in a supportive manner…all are welcome, if you can check your ego at the door and focus on Asana, Pranayama, Drishti, Bandhas and Vinyasa!

Part William Blake, part Billy Sunday – some say Atticus Finch or even Poetry Slam – I know I roll-holy and I will shake the tent during the revival, because this practice is worth getting that involved and engaged in! Welcome to my Spaceship – you’re beautiful forever…
