Best Advice I've Received:

It's never too late. In this instance, it had to do with pursuing a career in design in my 30s and I’m so glad that I did.

What I Know For Sure:

You are in charge of your own happiness.

Where To Shop:

Thrift shops are everything! You have to find the ones that don’t overcharge but still have the treasures you want. This can take a while, but it’s worth the wait. A lot of my textiles are from small shops on Etsy that I’ve had the privilege of working with, and they’re above and beyond anything you’ll find in a home decor store. Plus, shopping small helps to support someone who’s working hard, so it’s a win-win.

Way To Bring Your Space Alive:

Add color! Color is always a good idea. Get a few plants to bring life into the space, and then find a piece of art that makes you feel something!

What Inspires Me Creatively:

I am obsessed with design books. When the kids are in bed and the house is quiet, I love to flip through them while having a glass of wine. I think it’s fascinating to see all the trends that have come and gone and what the thought process was behind them when they were relevant.

Essentials for Creating Your Perfect Shelter:

Comfort and beauty. Now, everyone’s idea of how that feels and looks is different, but to me it’s a lot of natural light, luscious plants, vintage textiles that tell a story through their wear, incense burning, a comfy blanket and a notebook.
