Be fearless. Design for you and what you love.

Any design rules you follow?

Definitely not! I’d probably break all the rules if there were any.

What is essential to creating a personal sanctuary?

Filling your home with things that have meaning to you, that make you feel good. You can create an amazing space with things that have meaning.

Tips for designing a nurturing space?

Use textiles, plants and anything you love that makes your heart happy.

Ways to make your space come more alive?

Gosh, just paint! Painting a piece of furniture or a wall can really change a space.

The place you feel most yourself?

It would have to be the beach. It’s where I feel the most relaxed. Also at home.

If you had to design a room in one color, what would it be?

Most likely teal. It’s one of my favorite colors and it’s so versatile.

What hashtags do you use to find awesome design on Instagram?

I love #bohoismyjam, which I have the honor of hosting with some amazing ladies, and #jungalowstyle #thisiswhyithriftshopeveryday

Where do you start when you remake a room?

I usually have one piece that I adore and my decorating usually starts from there. Being a textile addict, it’s usually a rug or even a suzani.

Most definitely textiles.

One of your favorite quotes:

“I paint flowers so they won’t die.”—Frida Kahlo
