Tips For A Healthy WorkFlow

Stay calm, don’t stress—easy to say, I know. I find myself to be a victim of stress quite a lot, so lately I have been trying to spend more time away from home to have time for myself without thinking about work.

If you had to design a room in one color, which would you choose?

Definitely white. White is a color that serves as a fantastic background for everything. It evokes calmness and expansiveness.

Something I wouldn’t have in my home:

There are probably many things I would not want, but if I had to choose one, it would probably be a fake plant or flower.

What are all of those pieces in your living room?

I am a huge collector of vintage mid-century Czechoslovakian porcelain pieces. I think they are awesome and have tons of them, but usually no one asks about them. The rug in my living room, on the other hand, is asked about at least once day.

Why is color so important and what does it represent to you?

Colors are important, as they evoke different emotions for each of us. Being surrounded by colors you like is very important. It does not need to be a lot; just pops of colors you like can affect you positively.

Repaint Your Old Furniture

Don’t be afraid to repaint your old furniture and don’t be afraid to bring home some old pieces you found lying next to a garbage can. Make it look like new. Be creative. Sometimes something like this can make your place look fresh and original for almost no money at all.

My DIY Tip

Lately, there is a huge macramé trend. There are some amazing pieces to be found on the internet, but I would recommend to anyone to try to make their own piece. It is a nice way to relax, and you can learn the basics in quite a short time. Then you can make tons of pot hangers for your plants.

The 411

I am a huge interior freak. It was about 10 years ago that I discovered some Scandinavian mags and real estate sites and became very interested in home decor. Also, it was around the time when mid-century modern started to become really popular again, and I am a huge fan of this style. It inspired me to do my first line of art prints inspired by this era, and it inspired me to make my home look better.
