My all-time favorite quote is something my dad has said my whole life. Whether it was going to school, playing sports, getting married or having a baby—whatever the scenario, he would always say “MIG,” which stands for “Make It Great.” It is a quote I will always take with me no matter where I go, no matter the situation, to make it great.
It is so important to always do something for yourself. Whether it is working out, doing a project, reading a book or taking a nap, doing something to nurture your wellbeing helps create a healthy and productive workflow. I often find that I am able to get more accomplished when I have set aside some time to get a workout in.
If there is any tile in your house that is outdated or in need of a refresh, but you aren’t able to replace it, paint it! With the right paint, a fun stencil and a proper sealer, you can transform and rejuvenate any space.
I love this quote by Thich Nhat Hanh: “To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.”
The Biggest Challenge With Our Home
Is the desire for it to be completed immediately. We purchased this fixer upper with the intention of completing projects over time. And here we are 20 months later and I am ready for everything to be finished. It’s a continuous reminder to remember our intentions and why we chose to do this for our family.
To remember that even though the end result isn’t always what you imagined, the journey to get there was a lesson within itself.
